Position Overview
At Foundation Building Materials (FBM) ourCDL Driversare essentialdelivering materials safely efficiently and with pride. Enjoy local routes daily home time competitive pay and a supportive culture built on safety and respect.
Responsibilities and Qualifications
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operates company vehicles including up to 26 trucks in compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
- Basic understanding and knowledge of operation of piggy-back trucks box trucks and fork trucks.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness.
- Deliver materials to customer project sites on time providing excellent customer service.
- Additional training such as Forklift and other specified equipment may be required.
- Basic understanding and knowledge of the operation of a forklift and other equipment.
- Delivery & Customer Service
- Unload materials at delivery locations and verify deliveries against packing slips.
- Ensure deliveries are handled professionally and courteously always representing the company positively.
- The ability to unload protect move and stage materials as specified by customer directive.
- Basic understanding and knowledge of building materials.
- Safety
- Adheres to all driving regulations based on state and/or jurisdiction policies such as wearing a seatbelt.
- Maintain a clean safe and organized warehouse environment.
- Follow all safety protocols and Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) requirements to maintain a safe working environment.
- Use proper lifting techniques.
- Wear appropriate personal protective equipment safety shoes and clothing.
- Must attend and participate in all required meetings in relation to material delivery and overall company.
- Training Requirements
- Attend and participate in all required company training programs.
- Physical Job Requirements
- Frequent use of hands and arms for equipment operation grasping and manipulation.
- Frequent driving or sitting in a truck forklift or other similar equipment for multiple hours a day.
- Occasionally lift and/or move 80 lbs. and climb ladders carrying up to 50 lbs.
- Pushing and pulling carts loaded carts over various distances and surfaces. Some functions may be performed as a team.
- Must be able to learn how to operate a forklift and other company vehicles and must understand and be able to use miscellaneous tools and equipment including but not limited to: dollies flat carts and rock carts

Qualifications
- Possess valid Class A or Class B CDL
- Boom experience required
- Minimum 1-year consistent commercial driving experience
- Able to work 40-50 hours per week
- Works well in a team environment
