The NC Department of Adult Correction is one of the largest state agencies with more than 14000 employees. It is responsible for safeguarding and preserving lives and property through prevention protection and preparation as well as the care custody and supervision of all adults sentenced for violating North Carolina laws. This department includes state prisons with custody healthcare and facility operations staff as well as probation/parole officers who supervised sentenced people in the community. Description of Work
The Physician serves as the lead clinical authority responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality on-site healthcare services to incarcerated individuals. Duties will include one or more designated institutions in the South Central Region. This role requires advanced diagnostic expertise sound medical judgment and up-to-date knowledge of clinical practices and technologies. The physician oversees healthcare operations within the region ensuring compliance with standards and providing guidance to medical staff to support safe and effective patient care.Knowledge Skills and Abilities/Management Preferences
Salary Pay Range: $142420 - $284840
