Social Media Coordinator

Schedule: This is a part-time role of 10-15 hours per week. It is a hybrid position requiring regular in-person collaboration across our NYC school locations to create content.

Pay Rate: $30/hour.

JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a dynamic Social Media Video Coordinator who excels at blending strategic thinking and this role you will increase visibility and engagement for NY Preschool & Kids Club by producing compelling short-form video content developing engaging social media campaigns and elevating our brand storytelling. Your primary focus will be content creation for Instagram Reels TikTok and other social platforms.

The ideal candidate is a creative storyteller who enjoys producing high-impact content stays up to date on digital trends and brings fresh ideas to how we share the NYPKC experience.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Develop and execute content to grow NY Preschool & Kids Clubs organic social media presence across Instagram Facebook TikTok and emerging platforms.

In partnership with the Marketing Specialist manage and maintain NYPKCs social media accounts.

Create high-quality on-brand content including graphics short-form video and copy that showcases our community classes and joyful experiences.

Collaborate with on-site teams to capture authentic classroom moments and family stories that bring the NYPKC brand to life.

Prioritize the creation of vertical video content for Instagram Reels and TikTok leveraging these platforms as key drivers of growth and engagement.

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS & ABILITIES

Bachelors degree in Marketing Communications or related field (or equivalent experience).

1-2 years of social media video and content creation experience. Experience in related industries or content is preferred!

Excellent copywriting and content creation skills.

Ability to shoot and edit short-form video content.

Ability to work around media permission rules with certain program participants.

Passion for storytelling community engagement and enriching childhood experiences.

Experience working with children or family-centered programs is a plus.

Physical exam and background checks are required for this position.

Physical Demands: The role involves standing walking sitting constant movement and occasional climbing. The ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds is required. Specific sensory abilities include close vision color vision peripheral vision depth perception and adjustment of focus.
