Job Summary

The Machinery & Equipment Engineer will be responsible for the design development installation and maintenance of manufacturing machinery and equipment ensuring optimal performance reliability and safety across Jabils production facilities.

Job Responsibilities

* Design develop and implement new machinery and equipment solutions to enhance manufacturing capabilities and efficiency.
* Conduct detailed analysis of existing machinery to identify areas for improvement cost reduction and increased throughput.
* Manage the installation commissioning and validation of new equipment ensuring adherence to specifications and safety standards.
* Develop and implement preventative maintenance programs for all manufacturing machinery to minimize downtime and extend equipment lifespan.
* Troubleshoot and diagnose complex mechanical and electrical issues in production equipment providing timely and effective solutions.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams including production quality and supply chain to optimize equipment performance and resolve manufacturing challenges.
* Prepare technical documentation including equipment specifications operating procedures maintenance manuals and training materials.
* Stay abreast of industry trends new technologies and best practices in machinery and equipment engineering to drive continuous improvement.
* Ensure all machinery and equipment comply with relevant safety regulations environmental standards and company policies.
* Provide technical support and training to production staff on the operation and basic maintenance of equipment.

Job Qualifications

* Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering Electrical Engineering Industrial Engineering or a related field.
* 3-5 years of experience in machinery and equipment engineering within a manufacturing environment.
* Proven experience with CAD software (e.g. SolidWorks AutoCAD Inventor) for mechanical design.
* Strong understanding of PLC programming industrial automation and control systems.
* Experience with preventative maintenance programs and methodologies (e.g. TPM RCM).
* Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex mechanical electrical and pneumatic systems.
* Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices related to industrial machinery.
* Excellent problem-solving analytical and communication skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team.
* Experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment is a plus.
