This hotel offers 1878 elegantly appointed guestrooms and an impressive 150000 square feet of versatile event space. With 49 meeting rooms including the largest ballroom spanning 21673 square feet its an ideal destination for conferences conventions and upscale gatherings in the heart of Manhattan.
Our ideal candidate will possess a strong skill set in the local social catering market with expertise in corporate events and galas. They should have a minimum of two years of experience demonstrate the ability to network and generate new business opportunities and exhibit a genuine passion for success.
Shift Pattern:The role operates within business hours Monday Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm with required full availability to adjust work hours and work any day of the week including weekends and holidays for client engagement.
Salary Range:This is a salaried position starting at $100000.00 annually and will be aligned with the candidates experience and qualifications. This role qualifies to be part of Hiltons Sales Incentive program.

What will I be doing:
As a Catering Sales Manager you will be responsiblefor developing market segment(s) including soliciting new customer relationships negotiating business through proposals and contracts to close deals and creating menus and events to maximize revenue and enhance the event existing relationships with corporate and social accounts. Fostering all internalcustomer relationships to ensure consistent high-level service throughout the contracting pre-event event and post-event phases of position primarily handles complex social event logistics to affected departments and team members responsible for event as the primary contact and is responsible for his/her experience.
Specifically your essential functions will be to perform the following tasks to the highest standards:
Selling and influencing both internal and external clients.
Participate in customer site inspections and assist with the sales process as necessary.
Timely communication to internal and external clients via telephone email written documents or in person.
Create and maintain relationships with clients to set and meet client expectations and deliver on those expectations.
Demonstrate knowledge of job systems products booking systems and processes.
Resolve conflicts and negotiate with others while handling complaints settling disputes and resolving grievances and conflicts.
Make decisions and solve problems by analyzing and evaluating the issues and determining the best solution.
Ensure high-quality service by communicating and assisting others to understand the guests needs providing direction and guidance feedback and individual coaching when needed.
Other duties as necessary are based on business needs.
