Leidos is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to support our Indirect Fires and Force Protection (IFFP) Business Area within the Defense Systems Sector. This is an exciting opportunity for a professional who thrives in a fast-paced team-focused environment and is eager to contribute to the success of a large-scale defense program. This role goes beyond traditional administrative responsibilities and plays a meaningful role in enabling organizational effectiveness employee engagement and culture-building initiatives.
- The candidate will perform a broad range of administrative tasks to include managing scheduling preparing correspondence coordinating meeting logistics preparing expense reports and coordinating travel.
- The candidate will partner with HR Communications and leadership in planning and coordinating activities that support employee morale engagement and connection across the organization (e.g. recognition events team-building activities leadership visits and milestone celebrations).
- The candidate will assist with new hire onboarding workspace setup and training coordination.
- The candidate will prioritize and carry out special projects and assignments as needed exercising frequent independent judgment initiative and tact.
- The ideal candidate will lead efforts proactively plan for and anticipate future questions or issues and provide solutions.
Basic Qualifications
- Requires high school diploma or equivalent and 3 years of prior relevant experience supporting executive-level leaders.
- Strong proficiency in MS Office to include Outlook Word Excel and PowerPoint
- Present a positive and personable demeanor with an ability to interact and relate well with both external and internal contacts at all levels including executives and customers.
- Must possess strong organizational skills be able to multi-task in a fast-paced complex environment with multiple competing priorities
- Must be responsive and work with a sense of urgency
- Must be able to communicate effectively and professionally verbally and in writing to employees and managers of all levels to include senior and executive-level management
