What youll Do:

Our Process Engineering internship offers a hands-on learning experience in cable design and industry standards including UL IEC BS and more. As an intern youll work closely with a Senior Engineer and the engineering team assisting with various projects such as measuring products examining cable constructions reviewing customer specifications and supporting new product testing. Youll also gain experience in flame testing cables as well as other electrical and mechanical tests. Additionally youll learn about cable design programs like Cable Builder and explore materials used in fire-resistant and flame-retardant instrumentation cables. This internship provides valuable real-world skills and a deeper understanding of the engineering processes behind critical electrical systems.

What Youll Need:

  • Pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in Engineering
  • Rising Junior
  • The ability to demonstrate relevant skills and experience required for the role
  • Excellent written verbal communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to effectively communicate issues and solutions to all levels of the team
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Cross collaboration skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft office (excel word Power Point Outlook and Teams)

Compensation:

  • $22.00-$27.00 per hour commensurate with relevant experience and educational background

Work Hours/Length of Program:

  • The internship will run for 12 weeks from May to August
  • Temporary Part/Full Time targeting 40 hours per week
  • Exact start and end dates are flexible based on school schedules and the needs of the business
  • This is a paid internship

Working Conditions and Physical Demands:

This position is based in our state-of-the-art manufacturing facility and involves working in a manufacturing environment/general exposure to a manufacturing environment. The environment may involve exposure to noise temperature fluctuations or other factors. Employees are required to abide by PPE guidelines when onsite.

  • Successful completion of a drug screening and a physical exam are required for this role
  • This position involves regular walking standing sitting for extended periods of time hearing and talking.
  • May occasionally involve stooping kneeling or crouching.
  • May involve close vision color vision depth perception focus adjustment and viewing computer monitor for extended periods of time.
  • Involves manual dexterity for using keyboard mouse and other office equipment.
  • May involve moving or lifting items up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to work in a manufacturing setting
