Carilion Clinic is seeking a compassionate and skilled APPs ( NP or PA) to join Carilion Internal Medicine in Christiansburg Virginia. This is an excellent opportunity to practice high-quality patient-centered internal medicine within a collaborative and well-established healthcare system.
The APP will provide comprehensive primary care services to adult patients in an outpatient internal medicine setting. The ideal candidate is team-oriented clinically strong and committed to delivering exceptional care across a diverse patient population.
Provide evaluation diagnosis and management of acute and chronic medical conditions
Perform health assessments preventive care and patient education
Order and interpret diagnostic tests and develop treatment plans
Collaborate closely with physicians nursing staff and care team members
Document patient care accurately in the electronic medical record
Participate in quality improvement and population health initiatives
Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program
Current licensure in the Commonwealth of Virginia (or eligibility)
National board certification
DEA registration (or ability to obtain)
Previous internal medicine or primary care experience preferred but new graduates are welcome to apply

Education: Graduate of an Accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
Experience: 0
Licensure/Certification: Current state Licensed Nurse Practitioner (LNP) DEA license and Registered Nurse (RN) licensure required. AHA BLS-HCP certification required. Advanced Life Support certification preferred. Eligible for prescriptive authority in accordance with State regulations and as authorized by the Virginia Boards of Nursing and Medicine.
Minimum qualifications: Able to work collaboratively with physicians and other health care providers. Demonstrates good written and oral communication skills. Computer literacy required for automated computer systems including electronic medical records.
