The Knowledge Skills and Abilities (KSAs )/Management Preferences are not required. Applicants who possess the following skills are preferred:

• Certification in behavior analysis preferred.
• Advanced knowledge and skill in assessment of intellectual disorders and related developmental disabilities such as autism spectrum disorder through standardized tests behavioral observations and evaluation of service delivery systems analyses.
• Advanced knowledge and skill in analyzing and treating learning behavior and psychiatric disorders. This requires knowledge of the conceptual and theoretical basis of psychological evaluation and behavior analysis and skill in the clinical procedures that are appropriate to such treatment.
• Advanced knowledge in the principles and theory underlying the development of adaptive behavior and skill in the application of this knowledge to the learning problems of persons with significant learning and behavior disorders.
• Advanced knowledge and skill in conceptualizing designing and conducting research into the understanding of intellectual disorders and into improving the technology of training treatment and overall service delivery. Ability to disseminate results of these projects both in a written and oral form.

This Position Is Exempt And Is EXEMPT From Certain Provisions Of The State Human Resources Act (GS 126)

This Position Is Designated As Mandatory And Must Report Or Stay Over During Adverse Weather Events.

Shift Hours: 1st shift (Typically 8:00 am 5:00 pm) Monday Friday with some night and weekend work

Candidates will be considered while completing licensure requirements. Licensure must be obtained prior to beginning employment.

We provide comprehensive residential care to citizens from 37 counties in the western portion of the state.   Eligibility for licensure in North Carolina under the provisions of the NC Psychology Practice Act (G.S. 90-270) and three years of post- doctoral psychological experience one of which must have been in coordinating/supervising a psychological services program which included advance clinical treatment consultation training and research.
