Job Summary
A market leading organisation are looking to add an Electronics Design Engineer to join their growing design team in Cambridge Cambridgeshire.
This company design and manufacture a range of fire detection technologies that are sold all over the UK. These products are used within the consumer electronics industry and due to growth they are looking to add an Electronics Design Engineer to become a key member of their development department.
Key responsibilities of the Electronics Design Engineer job:
Schematic design circuit layout prototyping and bench testing
Producing engineering reports and operating manuals
Supporting hardware and software engineers as required
Assisting the engineering team by validating software providing inputs to equipment design wiring test kits and debugging electronics
Conducting analyses on faulty products and reporting findings
Key skills / experience required for the Electronics Design Engineer job:
Strong general understanding of electronics
Experience with schematic design circuit layout prototyping and bench testing
Experience with low-power microcontrollers
High dynamic range analog design skills
Strong NPI (New Product Introduction / Development) experience
Proficiency in Altium
Previous experience working within and supporting an R&D team
Experience in a manufacturing environment is beneficial
Driving licence required (Cambridge site is difficult to reach by public transport
