This unique position allows us to combine deep sector expertise with the flexibility and innovation of a boutique are seeking an ambitious lawyer who is looking for growth opportunities to join our Brisbane team on a permanent full-time basis as an Associate. The role reports to our Partner Commercial & Corporate Ben Ryan who has a genuine interest in mentoring and developing the lawyers in his Commercial & Corporate lawyers work closely with clients to provide pragmatic legal advice across all aspects of commercial and corporate law. We serve businesses and individuals across a wide range of industries including medical and allied health professional services insurance utilities and key responsibilities of the role include:supporting management of legal files and prospective client opportunities under partner supervision as part of a growing practice;transaction matters such as M&A including the sale and purchase of businesses;structuring matters from establishment to scaling to exit strategy;day-to-day commercial matters including service agreements commercial contracts governance terms and conditions and policies;intellectual property; data compliance governance and privacy matters; andfostering relationships with existing Avant Group staff across our other businesses;To be successful in this role you will: have a relevant law degree with strong academic results and be eligible to hold a practising certificate as a Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Queensland and the High Court of Australia;have 2-4 years or more of post-admission experience in commercial and corporate law; anddemonstrate a desire and willingness to support the ongoing expansion of Avant Law through marketing and business development.
