Apprentice Engineer Waldorf Astoria Chicago

Waldorf Astoria is looking for a Engineer Apprentice to join the team in Chicagos Gold Coast!

What will I be doing

As an Engineer Apprentice you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

• Assists Engineers and trains with Engineers/trade mechanics to learn to maintain the physical functionality of the facility including guest rooms public space and heart-of-the-house areas
• Performs a variety of repair and maintenance and cleaning tasks including carpentry plumbing electric painting HVAC and masonry
• Inspects guestrooms public space and heart-of-the-house for needed and preventive maintenance. Maintains detailed record-keeping of all work orders and completed assignments
• Maintains detailed record-keeping of all work orders and completed assignments
• Performs additional office-related work (i.e. receives deliveries runs errands for parts etc.).

The hourly rate is $17 and is based on applicable and specialized experience and location.
