Develops and administers occupational therapy treatment programs to facilitate rehabilitation of physically disabled patients and to maximize function and independence. Directs patient participation in selected tasks to restore reinforce and enhance performance. Facilitates the learning of those skills and functions essential for adaptation and productivity.
As patients work through physical rehabilitation the Occupational Therapist will guide them through a treatment program to restore reinforce and enhance performance.
Through collaboration with the patient you will establish goals and track progress through their rehabilitation.
This role allows you to be a mentor to OTAs students and volunteers. You will also participate in program development performance improvement projects and other committees.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Bachelor Master or Doctorate in Occupational Therapy
License: Current OT License in State of practice
Certification: BLS
DEPARTMENT SPECIFIC DETAILS:
Primarily inpatient coverage with potential for outpatient hours
Schedule details
Weekly schedule: Flexible based upon availability and department needs.
Weekend schedule: One weekend shift required per month; Additional weekends preferred.
Holiday rotation: One Holiday/year requirement
