The NC Department of Administration is the business manager for North Carolina state government. The department oversees Government Operations such as building construction purchasing and contracting for goods and services maintaining facilities managing state vehicles acquiring and disposing of real property and operating auxiliary services such as courier mail delivery and the sale of state and federal surplus property. Additionally the department manages many of the states advocacy programs that provide assistance and services to diverse segments of the states population that have been traditionally underserved.

Job Duties: Work with an existing fact sheet layout to support the Division of Water Resources (DWR) Basin Planning Branch (BPB) in its efforts to better communicate water resource issues across the state.
Major Task to be Performed: Take complex data-driven information about water resource concerns and present them in a compelling fact sheet that highlights major concerns within the river basin.
Final Product or Outcome Anticipated: Use existing template created in Adobe Illustrator to generate fact sheets for four to six river basin plans.

2026 State of North Carolina Internship Period: Monday May 18 Friday July 24 2026
Experience with Adobe Illustrator Microsoft Products or similar products/programs used forcreating infographic fact sheets or handouts. Some experience or familiarity with communicating environmental issues.
This position will close at 11:59 p.m. the night before the end date.
