• Permanent position based in Karratha with relocation assistance available
• Subsidised housing and air conditioning allowance included
• Starting Base Wage Trades Level 1: $96639 with the ability for increases to Trades Level 4: $107228 based on performance and framework requirements
• Total remuneration package approx. $140000 - $155000
• (inclusive of base salary Single location allowance Nominal 1 hour a day overtime housing Single Annual leave Travel concession) plus superannuation Additional overtime Standby Callouts and Travel allowance when away for work
• Extra Weeks leave for working above the 26th parallel. Giving you 5 weeks annual leave

As a Mechanical Tradesperson within the West Pilbara team youll play a key role in maintaining and installing components for water and wastewater systems across our schemes ensuring reliable water services to homes throughout the region. West Pilbara is an expansive area and will require you to work in different parts of the region including Karratha Wickham Harding Dam Millstream Burrup Peninsula and Onslow. This is a hands-on varied role that will keep you challenged and engaged every day.

What you can expect with this role

• Maintenance and troubleshooting of Water and Wastewater treatment including complex treatment schemes.
• Maintenance and troubleshooting on submersible centrifugal and positive displacement pumping systems.
• Maintenance and troubleshooting of Diesel generators and engines.
• Maintain and troubleshoot diesel and electric borefield schemes that supply drinking water to surrounding towns of the West Pilbara.
• Maintain and troubleshoot equipment as part of a desalination process.
• Maintain and troubleshoot piston and rotary type pneumatic systems.
• Required to work away from home occasionally.
• Rotating standby roster with potential for callouts.

Your skills and experience

For this role we are looking for a person with:

• Mechanical Trade Certificate.
• Motivated and positive individual who is able to work as a team or independently.
• Experience in the water industry (desirable).
• High-risk licences including confined space working at heights Forklift Dogman and Vehicle loading Crane (desirable).
• Trained in self contained breathing apparatus (SCBA) and Atmospheric monitoring (desirable).
• HR Driver licence (desirable).
