We are seeking an experienced and motivated
Consultant Obstetrician & Gynaecologist to join the specialist team delivering essential specialist services.
This is a
permanent full-time appointment (80 hours per fortnight) offering an exceptional remuneration package professional autonomy and a unique regional lifestyle.
About the Role You will provide comprehensive specialist obstetric and gynaecological care to a diverse regional population while contributing to leadership teaching and service development.
Youll join a
supportive multidisciplinary team including:
- Two Consultant Obstetricians & Gynaecologists
- Three Registrars
- On-call support from four GP Obstetricians (GPOs)
The service is an accredited training site for the
Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RANZCOG) Associate Training Programs (Procedural & Advanced Procedural) and hosts medical students through the Rural Clinical School.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver high-quality obstetric and gynaecological care
- Provide clinical leadership and mentoring to junior medical staff
- Contribute to clinical governance policy development and quality improvement
- Participate in administrative leadership alongside the Clinical Nurse Specialist (Maternity)
- Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams to enhance regional service delivery
Salary & Benefits Consultant Year 19: $412161 $523436 p.a. (inclusive of base salary Professional Development Leave allowance and
12% superannuation)
Leave Entitlements- 4 weeks annual leave (160 hours)
- 1 additional week for regular on-call participation
- Up to 3 weeks Professional Development Leave p.a.
- 13 weeks Long Service Leave after 10 years
- 5 weeks Overseas Professional Development Leave after 5 years
