Job Summary

London Pay Scale: Politics Teacher Opportunity in High-Achieving Hounslow School

We are seeking an enthusiastic effective and committed Politics Teacher to join the thriving Social Sciences faculty at a well-regarded secondary school located in the Hounslow West London area.

This is a full-time position with an ASAP start (or as soon as notice periods allow).


Key Details:

  • Role: Politics Teacher

  • Contract: Full-time (Permanent or Long-term contract options available)

  • Start Date: ASAP (January 2026)

  • Location: Successful and ambitious secondary school in Hounslow West London.

  • Curriculum: Primarily teaching A-Level Politics (Key Stage 5) with potential to support Citizenship or Humanities at Key Stage 4.


The Opportunity

This is an exciting opportunity for a subject specialist to join a dynamic and high-performing Social Sciences department. You will be responsible for delivering high-level A-Level Politics lessons fostering debate and helping students navigate complex global and domestic political landscapes. The school is looking for a teacher who can inspire students to engage with current affairs and develop the critical thinking skills necessary for university-level study.

We Are Looking For:

  • A qualified teacher with QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent.

  • A specialist with a deep understanding of UK and/or Global Politics.

  • Experience teaching A-Level Politics (or a strong desire to transition into KS5 teaching).

  • The ability to lead structured high-energy debates and manage a classroom of highly motivated learners.

  • The drive to maintain the departments high standards and contribute to extracurricular activities such as Model UN or Debating Society.
