MalaceHR is seeking skilled Facilities Maintenance Technicians to support critical facility operations in Hartland and Brookfield WI. This role is ideal for hands-on technicians with strong handyman electrical HVAC (cooling) mechanical and plumbing skills who thrive in fast-paced mission-critical environments.
Former apartment maintenance technicians and multi-trade maintenance professionals are highly encouraged to apply.
Training Schedule:
2nd Shift: 3:00 PM 11:00 PM CST (MondayFriday)
Post-Training Assigned Shifts:
11:00 PM 7:00 AM CST (Sunday night Friday morning) OR
11:00 AM 7:00 PM CST (MondayFriday)
On-Call Rotation:
One weekend every 56 weeks (Saturday & Sunday)
Overtime:
Approximately 38 hours per month
Perform routine building rounds readings and inspections
Complete assigned work orders in a timely manner
Walk building spaces regularly to monitor temperature irregularities
Maintain keys for all building spaces; organized and readily accessible
Assist Operations Manager with inspections vendor coordination bids and projects
Address items identified during ownership walk-throughs (snag/action lists)
Monitor utility usage and support energy management initiatives
Patrol building interiors and exteriors; maintain cleanliness of lots and walkways
Assist with snow removal salting and grounds maintenance as needed
Perform touch-up painting and drywall patching
Troubleshoot miscellaneous facility and operational issues
Meet with contractors monitor and oversee subcontracted work
Report facility issues to immediate supervisor
Perform daily checks of mechanical equipment
Maintain HVAC systems pumps motors VFDs boilers and related equipment
Respond to HVAC and cooling-related service calls
Check chemical treatment systems
Inspect roofs drains and access equipment as directed
Inspect interior and exterior lighting systems
Replace bulbs ballasts and fixtures as needed
Safely troubleshoot electrical systems up to 480V
Monitor and escalate issues with access control and CCTV systems
Perform minor plumbing repairs and routine plumbing maintenance
Respond to plumbing service requests as needed
Maintain detailed logs of maintenance activities
Accurately document issues and repairs per established procedures
Follow all OSHA company and site-specific safety regulations
Use required PPE including hearing protection eyewear and safety shoes
Adhere to all site-specific processes including MOPs SOPs and EOPs
Comply with all required COVID-19 protocols
Work safely at heights up to 30 feet and lift up to 50 lbs regularly
Strong general maintenance and handyman skill set
Working knowledge of mechanical electrical HVAC and plumbing systems
Ability to work in a critical environment (prior experience a plus not required)
Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Willingness to work overtime on-call rotations weekends and varied shifts
Ability to follow strict procedures and adapt to unforeseen challenges
Punctual reliable and professional
Valid drivers license and reliable transportation (required)
