4. Role & Responsibilities (What the candidate is supposed to do on the job) :
Work closely with account management/customers to develop a workable exhaust system layout and to identify and resolve system-level issues. Act as engineering face to customer.
Work closely with the manufacturing team and customer to finalize design which is feasible to manufacture.
Generate/maintain detailed models of designs and system level Bill of Materials.
Generate specifications for product (2D prints Engineering specifications etc)
Initiate and coordinate the technical support work (including bellow design flow and vibration testing etc.)
Ensure DFM (Design for Manufacturability) is implemented in development of design (DQR DVA Design Reviews etc)
Finalize DVP & R with customers and lead to complete the tests such as RLDA temperature drop vibration etc
Experience in field failure analysis
Maintain and manage project schedules.
Travel to customer and supplier sites as necessary perform on-site testing and present our technology.
Review/Approve/Process Customer Print Conformance

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
BS Mechanical Engineer or equivalent educational degree is required.
Strong understanding of fluid mechanics and thermodynamics required.
4 to 8 years of experience related to product design using solid modeling tools (Inventor
preferred).
Basic understanding of exhaust systems and bellows (preferred).
Basic knowledge of vehicle chassis systems (preferred).
Basic knowledge of exhaust components/after treatment (preferred)
