Job Description Finance & Accounts Manager

Location: Nigeria

Reports to: CFO/Director

Department: Finance & Accounts

Role Purpose

The Finance & Accounts Manager will oversee the complete spectrum of accounting and financial operations for a manufacturing or distribution company. The role requires strong technical expertise commercial acumen and the ability to manage diverse financial processes while ensuring compliance with statutory requirements and supporting business growth.

Education & Experience Requirements

Graduate/Masters in Accounts & Finance OR Semi-qualified CA/ICWAI/CMA.
Minimum 5 years of experience in a manufacturing or distribution company.
Preference for candidates with international exposure especially those who have worked in Africa.

Key Responsibilities

Bookkeeping & Accounting: Manage day-to-day accounting operations.
Balance Sheet Closures: Ensure timely and accurate monthly/annual closures.
Accounts Receivable & Payable: Control AR/AP processes to maintain healthy cash flow.
Reconciliations: Perform reconciliations for stocks banks vendors and customers.
Treasury Management: Oversee cash flow banking and fund management.
Taxation: Handle direct and indirect taxation compliance and filings.
Costing: Prepare and analyze cost sheets for manufacturing/distribution operations.
Import & Export Procedures: Ensure compliance with international trade regulations.
MIS Reporting: Prepare detailed and insightful MIS reports for management decision-making.
Technology: Utilize advanced Excel and ERP systems (SAP Oracle Navision etc.) for efficiency.
