. This contract position is on-site providing a unique opportunity to work within a dynamic medical practice that prioritizes patient care and innovative radiological services.
As a Locum Radiologist you will play a crucial role in diagnosing and interpreting medical images ensuring accurate assessments that contribute to effective treatment plans. This position allows you to collaborate with a skilled team of healthcare professionals and make a significant impact on patient outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Interpret and analyze medical imaging studies including X-rays CT scans and MRIs
- Provide accurate and timely radiological reports to referring physicians
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop comprehensive treatment plans
- Participate in multidisciplinary meetings to discuss patient cases
- Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards in radiology
- Stay current with advancements in radiology technology and techniques
- Educate patients and their families about imaging procedures and results
- Support quality improvement initiatives within the radiology department
Requirements
- MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
- Active medical license to practice in the state of Georgia
- Completion of a residency program in Radiology
- Board certification in Radiology is preferred
- Strong diagnostic skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
- Experience with advanced imaging techniques is a plus
Level I Trauma
Schedule: Call from Thursday 5p-Monday 7a 1 weekend per month
IR and stroke call coverage
Required Procedures: Pelvic GI embolization TIPS etc.
Support Staff: Nurses residents interns
EMR: Epic
Must be board-certified
Paid travel & expenses
