Job Summary
SQM (Superior Quality Manufacturing) is seeking an experienced Electronic Technician I.
INITs corporate North American headquarters is in Chesapeake Virginia. Primary Responsibilities:
- Repair of electronic equipment basic testing and board repair
- Ability to work from detailed instructions and conform to strict quality assurance guidelines
- Assembly of electrical devices
- Use of hand and power tools
- Testing electrical devices
- Administrative and reporting tasks as assigned
- Manual Soldering (rework)
- Other duties as assigned
Skills:
- Must be able to function well in a team or group environment
- Must be able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize duties
- Must be able to read and understand assembly drawings/schematics
- Must be able to communicate well
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Must be able to distinguish colors fine circuit detail and tones
- ESD protection required in manufacturing area
Education/Experience/Knowledge/Skills Required:
- Associate Degree in Electronics preferred
- Knowledge of Windows XP and Windows 7
- Knowledge of digital and analog electronic circuitry
- Knowledge of trouble shooting procedures
- Proficient with Multimeters Oscilloscope Crimping and Power Supplies
- Proficient in Microsoft Word Excel and Outlook
- Ability to read and comprehend technical documentation
- Excellent organizational skills problem solving techniques and accuracy are essential
Work Location: This position will be based at our corporate headquarters located in Chesapeake Virginia.
