This is apart-timepositionworking 20-25 hours a week Monday through Friday in the afternoon and evening.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities for theAfter School Program Teen Center Coordinator(011) Position:
- Plan develop & implement recreation programs special events and leisure activities.
- Administer recreation programs to ensure that programs are delivered within guidelines and budgets.
- Promote recreational programs in order to ensure that members are aware of available opportunities and activities.
- Ensure recreation facilities are maintained in order to ensure a safe clean and appropriate environment for recreation activities.
Required Skills/Knowledge for theAfter School Program Teen Center Coordinator(011) Position:
- A high school diploma required; some college experience and at least 1 year of experience in youth development preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to plan and conduct recreational programs and services.
- Ability to communicate effectively with teenagers from diverse backgrounds as well as a range of other organizational personnel in a courteous and professional manner.
- Must be highly motivated and dedicated to the organizational mission.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential.
