- Source evaluate and select qualified suppliers and vendors based on cost quality delivery and reliability.
- Negotiate favorable terms pricing and contract conditions to ensure cost efficiency and value for money.
- Prepare and issue purchase orders track deliveries and follow up on outstanding items to ensure on-time receipt.
- Maintain accurate procurement records vendor databases and compliance documentation.
- Collaborate with site managers project supervisors and finance teams to align procurement activities with project requirements.
- Monitor market trends and supply availability to anticipate potential disruptions and implement mitigation strategies.
- Ensure adherence to company procurement policies safety standards and regulatory compliance.
- Conduct regular vendor performance reviews and manage supplier relationships to drive continuous improvement.
- Support inventory management by providing timely procurement inputs and minimizing stockouts or overstocking.
Requirements
- Bachelors degree in Business Administration Supply Chain Management Procurement or a related field.
- 510 years of progressive experience in procurement purchasing or supply chain administration preferably in construction industrial or infrastructure projects.
- Proven experience in managing site-level procurement activities and working within a project-based environment.
- Strong negotiation communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence stakeholders across departments.
- Proficiency in procurement software ERP systems (e.g. SAP Oracle) and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel).
- In-depth knowledge of procurement best practices contract management and compliance standards.
- Ability to work independently manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Local knowledge of Vadodara and surrounding regions with established vendor networks is highly advantageous.
- Experience with local vendor regulations GST compliance and documentation requirements in India.
