Office Equipment Available: Standard emergency department equipment
Specialty Backup Available: Hospitalist medicine program
Support Staff Available: 24-hour physician coverage and 30-hour NP/PA coverage

PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE
Hospital Privileges Required: Yes
Telehealth Experience Required: No
In-Person EMR Training Required: Yes prior to first shift

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
Overtime: Daily OT after 12 hours and weekly OT after 168 hours differential applied
Travel Lodging and Malpractice Insurance: Covered per locum agreement
REQUIRED PROCEDURES
Emergency department procedures appropriate for physician-level emergency medicine coverage
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Licenses: Active state medical license CDS and DEA with Iowa address required
Board: Board Certified in ABEM ABFM or ABIM (or osteopathic equivalents)
DEA: Active DEA required
Certifications: ACLS ATLS and PALS required
Experience: Residency trained in the specialty certified in
Other Qualifications: CME documentation and case logs from the past two years required
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide comprehensive emergency medical care for patients of all ages
Manage acute and emergent conditions in a Level II trauma center
Perform emergency procedures and coordinate admissions as required
Collaborate with hospitalist medicine and consulting services
Document all patient encounters accurately in Cerner EMR
