About the Role
We are looking for a Category Lead to drive the growth and performance of our product category. The role is responsible for developing category strategy managing the product portfolio leading brand and marketing initiatives and delivering insights to improve sales and profitability. The Category Lead will work closely with Sales Supply Chain Finance and Marketing teams to ensure commercial success.
Responsibilities
Develop and execute long-term category strategy to drive sales growth and profitability.
Identify opportunities for new product development product renovation and portfolio optimization.
Lead implementation of brand marketing plans and manage category marketing budgets.
Monitor and report category performance using key metrics (NNS GM MC consumer KPIs).
Analyze product and competitor performance to identify growth opportunities and risks.
Collaborate with Sales to determine optimal pricing strategies based on market and consumer insights.
Forecast product demand and coordinate with Supply Chain and Logistics to manage inventory levels.
Ensure effective Product Life Cycle Management and minimize residual stock and write-offs.
Lead innovation through creative and effective digital brand campaigns.
Build and maintain strong relationships with POS vendors and industry partners.
Lead coach and develop a high-performing category team.
Requirements
- Bachelors degree with 57 years experience in Category Management Brand Management or a related role.
- Strong understanding of FMCG / Food & Beverage markets.
- Proven experience in category strategy brand management and product lifecycle management.
- Solid knowledge of supply chain inventory management and demand forecasting.
- Strong leadership decision-making and people management skills.
- Excellent analytical negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel PowerPoint and Word.
- Fluency in English; local language proficiency is an advantage.
