CAD DESIGN ENGINEER

JOB TITLE: CAD DESIGN ENGINEER

About This Job:

Q-Sourcing Limited trading as Q-Sourcing Servtec is a manpower management solutions firm operating in the East African Region in the countries of Uganda Kenya Tanzania Rwanda and South Sudan.

On behalf of our client we are looking for a competent skilled and experienced CAD Design Engineer to work in Nairobi Kenya

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Prepare detailed CAD drawings for road works drainage utilities and associated infrastructure.

Convert design concepts sketches and survey data into accurate technical drawings.

Update drawings to reflect design changes site instructions and as-built conditions.

Ensure all drawings comply with KURA specifications standards and approved design guidelines.

Coordinate with engineers surveyors and site teams to obtain accurate technical information.

Maintain proper version control and drawing registers for all project drawings.

Prepare as-built drawings upon completion of works.

Support quantity take-offs and measurement activities using CAD drawings where required.

Participate in design review meetings and incorporate comments from KURA and consultants.

Ensure timely submission of drawings to meet project timelines.

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

Qualifications & Experience

Diploma or Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering Construction Technology CAD or related field.

Proficiency in AutoCAD (Civil 3D experience is an added advantage).

Minimum 24 years relevant experience in infrastructure or road projects (KURA KeNHA or similar).

Experience working with road alignment cross-sections drainage and utility layouts.

Skills & Competencies

Strong technical drafting and detailing skills.

Ability to interpret engineering drawings specifications and survey data.

High level of accuracy and attention to detail.

Good time management and ability to meet tight deadlines.

Strong communication and coordination skills.

Proficiency in MS Office and document control practices.
