FanDuel Group is looking for an experienced Senior Quality Engineer with deep understanding of shifting left quality practices to engineers and standardizing our test automation approach and quality gates. Quality at FanDuel is a community effort and as an advocate of quality you will work with various teams to promote best practices and processes that will deliver the best experience for our customers.

You will use your experience to help define shift-left strategies to build automated tests to implement reporting and to leverage AI and agentic tooling to enhance our overall testing strategy. Your innovation will be fostered in a culture that constantly seeks to improve and originate new ideas that aim to make software testing easier and more efficient.

THE GAME PLAN

  • Implement emerging test technologies and establish quality gates for repetitive and efficient quality feedback.
  • Champion quality through advanced risk analysis strategic test planning and results-driven insights.
  • Optimize quality procedures using data analytics and shift-left principles.
  • Utilize FanDuel Sportsbook architecture to identify integration points within an overall test automation strategy.
  • Guide engineering teams on advanced testing methodologies and strategic automation with use of AI and agentic testing tools.
  • Lead testing for complex high-risk developments with balanced test approaches.
  • Implement advanced quality monitoring dashboards.
  • Design efficient test documentation standards that balance detail with maintainability.
  • Present quality metrics to stakeholders connecting technical quality to business value.

THE STATS
What were looking for in our next teammate

  • Proficient in JavaScript-based testing frameworks (e.g. Detox Cypress Postman) and automation for front-end APIs React Native and native apps (Swift Kotlin).
  • Adept at assessing tooling needs to enable shift-left testing and continuous quality feedback throughout the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
  • Experienced in leveraging generative AI for test prioritization generation analysis and quality insights.
  • Knowledgeable in agentic testing including AI-driven regression suite maintenance exploratory testing environment provisioning and test data creation.
  • Skilled in real-time test result monitoring using tools like Datadog ReportPortal or Extent Reports.
  • History of successfully supporting teams and organizations in adopting test automation with emphasis on shift-left practices.
  • Ability to breakdown acceptance criteria into various testing techniques (e.g. exploratory manual automation contract testing etc.)
  • Strong technical and analytical skills to partner with software engineers across various levels on testing practice.
  • Passionate about data and utilizing quality metrics to convey updates to stakeholders communicating strategy and championing quality.

The applicable salary range for this position is $126000 - $158000 USD which is dependent on a variety of factors including relevant experience location business needs and market demand. This role may offer the following benefits: medical vision and dental insurance; life insurance; disability insurance; a 401(k) matching program; among other employee benefits. This role may also be eligible for short-term or long-term incentive compensation including but not limited to cash bonuses and stock program participation. This role includes paid personal time off and 14 paid company holidays. FanDuel offers paid sick time in accordance with all applicable state and federal laws.
