Our Industrial Security team in Woburn MA is presently seeking an Assistant Facility Security Officer (AFSO) to join the team. This position will be responsible for assisting in security operations reporting to Facility Security Officer (FSO) under the 32 Code of Federal Regulation Part 117 National Industrial Security Program (NISP).

You will be a self-motivated candidate that can work in an independent or team environment with minimal direction. You will be required to conduct security self-inspections apply risk mitigation methodologies support customer assessments and implement security measures to meet requirements.

What You Will Do

Working with the 32 Code of Federal Regulation Part 117 National Industrial Security Program (NISP) and other relevant DoD security guidance to implement/continue a security program/presence.
Maintain employee Foreign Travel Reporting per 32 Code of Federal Regulation Part 117.
Coordinate and collaborate with government and industry oversight agencies to facilitate inspections/audits of security programs and systems.
Ability and working knowledge on managing prime / subcontract DD-254 forms (Contract Security Classification Specifications) and the National Industrial Security System (NISS)
Develop and establish an effective security awareness training and education program.
Conduct initial security briefings debriefings indoctrinations pre- / post-foreign travel briefings and refresher briefings as appropriate.
Assist with OPSEC and Critical Information List training.
You will assist with security violations and prepare reports detailing procedures to preclude future occurrences.
Closely work with other security cores. Including Physical Cyber Security Business Partners and Special Programs where needed.

Qualifications You Must Have

Typically requires: A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 8 yearsprior relevant experience or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years experience
Min of (8) years of experience in a Security or related field
Two (2) years of Facility Security Officer(FSO) or Assistant FSO experience
National Industrial Security Program experience
Work experience interacting / working with Defense Counterintelligence Security Agency and/or other Cognizant Security Agency personnel as well as varying levels of senior and executive leadership

Qualifications We Prefer

Bachelors Degree in either Computer Science Information Systems Management Information Technology Criminal Justice STEM or Business.

Exceptional time management prioritization abilities and ability to achieve goals and targets while performing multiple tasks
Strong oral and written communication skills along with excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
Strong business acumen

The salary range for this role is 107500 USD - 204500 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
