Job Summary
The Field Engineer 2 will be responsible for the installation maintenance and repair of GE Precision Healthcare equipment at customer sites ensuring optimal performance and high levels of customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities
* Perform installation calibration and preventative maintenance on a wide range of GE Precision Healthcare equipment including but not limited to diagnostic imaging systems (MRI CT X-ray) ultrasound machines and patient monitoring devices.
* Diagnose and troubleshoot complex technical issues on-site utilizing schematics service manuals and diagnostic tools to identify root causes and implement effective solutions.
* Execute emergency repairs promptly to minimize downtime for healthcare providers and ensure continuous patient care.
* Provide comprehensive technical support and training to customer staff on the proper operation and basic maintenance of GE equipment.
* Manage a territory and schedule service calls efficiently to meet established service level agreements and customer expectations.
* Maintain accurate and timely service records documentation and reports using company-provided software.
* Adhere to all company safety protocols quality standards and regulatory requirements (e.g. FDA ISO).
* Proactively identify opportunities for product improvements service enhancements and customer education.
* Collaborate effectively with sales technical support and product development teams to ensure seamless customer experiences.
* Manage inventory of spare parts and tools ensuring proper handling and accountability.

Qualifications
* Associates degree in Biomedical Engineering Electrical Engineering Electronics Technology or a related technical field; Bachelors degree preferred.
* Minimum of 2-4 years of experience as a Field Service Engineer or equivalent technical role preferably in the healthcare or medical device industry.
* Proven ability to diagnose and repair complex electronic and mechanical systems.
* Strong understanding of networking principles and computer hardware/software troubleshooting.
* Excellent communication interpersonal and customer service skills.
* Ability to work independently manage time effectively and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
* Proficiency with diagnostic tools test equipment and service software.
* Valid drivers license and a clean driving record are required.
* Ability to travel frequently within a designated service territory including overnight stays as needed.
* Physical ability to lift heavy equipment stand for extended periods and work in various healthcare environments.
