Job Summary:

We areseekingan experienced and talented Assistant Chef to join our team.This salaried position requires a minimum of3years of experience in a restaurant setting.The Assistant Chef will work closely with the Head Chef to oversee daily kitchen operations ensure the highest quality of food preparation and presentation and contribute to menu development. This role is ideal for a culinary professional looking to advance their career in a dynamic and growing restaurant.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist the Head Chef in managing all aspects of kitchen operations including supervising kitchen staff ordering supplies andmaintaininginventory.

Oversee the preparation and presentation of dishes to ensure they meet the restaurantshigh standards.

Collaborate with the Head Chef on menu development including creating new dishes and refining existing ones.

Ensure that all kitchen staff adhere to safety sanitation and food handling regulations.

Train mentor and motivate kitchen staff tomaintaina high levelof performance and consistency.

Monitor food costs and portion control tomaintainprofitability while ensuring quality.

Participate in the planning and execution ofspecial eventsandseasonalmenuchanges.

Step in for the Head Chef as needed taking full responsibility for the kitchen in their absence.

Maintain a clean organized and efficient kitchen environment.

Qualifications:

Minimum of3years of experience working in a restaurant kitchen

Exceptional culinary skills with a keen eye for detail and presentation.

Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Excellent leadership communication and organizational skills.

Proficiencyin kitchen equipment and tools with a solid understanding of food safety and sanitation standards.

Ability to manage inventory control food costs and ensure efficient use of resources.

Culinarydegree or equivalent professional experience is preferred.
