Job Summary

The Red Gate Group is seeking a Remote Sensing Systems Technical Expert to support future warfare initiatives and advanced GEOINT capabilities within the National System for Geospatial-Intelligence (NSG). This role provides deep technical expertise at the intersection of remote sensing aviation systems and intelligence support to the warfighter. You will work closely with Department of Defense (DoD) requirements sponsors system developers and NGA Key Components to ensure GEOINT equities are fully integrated into next-generation collection exploitation and dissemination systems.

In this position you will shape the future of GEOINT by forecasting warfighter needs identifying capability gaps and advancing interoperability across sensors data and IT systems that underpin future operational dominance.

Key Responsibilities

Future Warfare GEOINT Integration

  • Coordinate with DoD requirements sponsors systems developers and NGA Key Components to identify analyze and resolve GEOINT-related challenges affecting future warfare systems.
  • Advocate for warfighter GEOINT needs across collection content open IT targeting and foreign disclosure and release processes.
  • Produce high-quality written analysis on GEOINT equities risks and opportunities associated with emerging and future systems.

Remote Sensing & Content Development

  • Survey government industry and academic research and development efforts to identify emerging GEOINT technologies data sources and analytical methodologies.
  • Discover and leverage new sources of GEOINT content and analysis to enhance NSG capabilities.
  • Support NGA Foundation GEOINT Intelligence Mission Data (IMD) planning and data production by providing a warfighter-centric perspective.

Systems Assessment & Risk Mitigation

  • Conduct supportability assessments of future warfare systems to evaluate GEOINT content requirements and identify capability gaps.
  • Analyze DoD program risks associated with under-resourcing GEOINT content and develop mitigation strategies to address operational shortfalls.
  • Assess communications storage and dissemination capabilities across all warfighter echelons to ensure end-to-end GEOINT support.

Interoperability & Standards

  • Coordinate with DoD requirements sponsors and system developers to advance GEOINT data sensor and IT interoperability across future warfare systems.
  • Assist programs in understanding and implementing NSG Defense IT Standards Registry (DISR) GEOINT standards.
  • Identify and promote end-to-end Processing Exploitation and Dissemination (PED) opportunities including Structured Observation Management (SOM) Object-Based Production (OBP) and Activity-Based Intelligence (ABI) within Defense Common Ground System (DCGS) environments.

Unified GEOINT Operations

  • Coordinate with DCGS system developers to strengthen DoD contributions to Unified GEOINT Operations (UGO).
  • Ensure alignment between system development efforts and operational GEOINT requirements across the Intelligence Community and DoD.

Qualifications :

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree
  • Minimum of 8 years of specialized experience with aviation or aviation-related systems (e.g. sensors weapons) and their military applications
  • Minimum of 8 years of specialized experience using GEOINT to support the Intelligence Community or Department of Defense/War
  • Knowledge of aeronautical safety-of-navigation data production standards and applications within DoD aviation environments including DAFIF and FLIP
  • Understanding of how aeronautical data supports airborne systems mission planning and flight simulators
  • Active TS/SCI clearance with CI eligibility

Desired Qualifications

  • Masters degree or higher in Engineering Systems Engineering Information Technology Management Strategic Intelligence or a related field
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent certification
