Overview
Our client is a well-established digital solution company and they are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Application Support Engineer to join the this role you will play a crucial part in providing top-notch technical assistance and support for internal web-based and mobile applications. You will act as the bridge between technology and end-users ensuring smooth functionality of their applications while solving technical challenges efficiently. This position requires flexibility to work onsite during night shifts as part of the commitment to delivering round-the-clock support.
Responsibilities
- Provide end-user support for web and mobile applications ensuring timely issue resolution.
- Troubleshoot and escalate application problems to maintain business continuity.
- Collaborate with infrastructure system admin and developer teams to address concerns.
- Gather user requirements document feedback and suggest improvements for performance and experience.
- Monitor application performance analyze alerts and take proactive actions.
- Maintain documentation of resolutions configurations and procedures.
- Support deployments updates and testing for smooth implementation.
- Drive continuous improvement in processes workflows and user satisfaction.
Qualifications
- Higher Diploma and/or above in Computer Science Information Technology or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- At least 1 years working experience in providing support for web-based and mobile applications.
- Familiarity with Linux system and IT support tools ticketing systems and monitoring software (e.g. Jira ServiceNow or similar tools) is a plus.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively engage with end-users and technical teams.
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
- Proactive and collaborative attitude contributing positively to team dynamics.
- Prior experience in application support or a similar role is preferred but we welcome candidates with relevant transferrable skills.
- Good command in both English and Chinese.
- Willingness to work onsite during night shifts to support operations.
