Job Overview
This positionis responsible forassistingthe Quality department to meet and exceed company goals.The Quality Technicianis responsible forensuring that all quality standards are being followed by employees on the production lines and troubleshoot any areas of the assembly process where a quality issue occurs.This position willmonitorproducts produced on the production line and provide feedback to supervisors on quality issues.
Highlights of your role
- Troubleshoot areas of the assembly process where quality issues occur.
- Inspect test and measure materials and products for conformance to specifications.
- Analyze and interpret prints manuals and data todeterminespecifications.
- Record and analyze data;maintainaccuratedocumentation and reports.
- Document and communicate non-conforming material rejections to Supervisors and Purchasing/Materials teams.
- Mentor Production Associates and Quality Auditors on quality standards and best practices.
- Assistin assigning tasks to Quality Auditors as needed.
- Conduct inspections on first articles incoming materials and other parts asrequested.
- Observe andmonitorproduction operations jigs and equipment to ensure compliance with specifications.
- Investigate quality concerns todetermineroot cause and recommend corrective actions.
- Perform product repairs when necessary.
Youre a good fit if you have (or if you can)
- Associates degree and/or equivalent experience/training are
- Rolerequiresthe proficient in the use of measurement tools such as micrometers calipers tape measures pin gages feeler gages measurement probe and optical comparator
- Requires excellent shop math skills (ability to add subtract multiply and divide in all units of measure; using whole numbers common fractions and decimals)
- Must be able to analyze and interpret drawingschartsand specifications
- Demonstrated problem solving abilitystrong communicationskills and the ability to multi-task and work efficiently/in a well-organized manner are
- Strong communicationskills (oral and written) are necessary
- Familiarity with computer programs such as the Microsoft Office Suite (Word Excel Outlook etc.) and internal production software is
