Project Controller

Were seeking an experienced and ambitious finance professional to join our Project Controlling team.  

As a Project Controller youll be a key financial partner to our project delivery teamsensuring strong financial governance accurate project accounting and actionable insights that enhance project outcomes. Youll work closely with Project Managers and collaborate with Senior Leaders acting as a trusted advisor who brings clarity control and commercial acumen to every stage of the project lifecycle.

Key Job Responsibilities:

• Proactively manage the financial performance of your project portfolio driving value through revenue recognition risk management working capital optimisation and project monitoring. 
• Champion financial governance by ensuring compliance with project accounting standards internal controls Rambolls policies and procedures tax statutory and audit requirements. 
• Responsible for Project set-up and ongoing maintenance 
• Deal with internal and external auditors resolving audit queries and ensuring timely compliance.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of Rambolls financial processes and systems. 
• Provide financial advice to stakeholders identifying risks and opportunities early and offering practical data-driven solutions. This may include participation in tender reviews. 
• Apply an innovative mindset to streamline and enhance financial operations. 
• Support change initiatives with agility helping teams adapt to evolving business priorities. 
• Build strong collaborative relationships with Business Controllers Project Managers and senior leadership. 
• Partner with our support team to ensure timely and accurate project maintenance. 
• Manage and adhere to timetables for various closing and reporting requirements related to projects.
• Perform cost-to-complete analyses on projects and re-forecast adjustments within the system.
• Follow up with clients selectively on overdue invoices.
• Support the maintenance of contract documents agreements and variation orders.
• Provide support in developing and implementing controls reviews and checklists to ensure adequate processes are in place.

These include:  

• 5 years related experience in Project Controlling for Engineering or Professional Services or Consultancy Organizations with advanced skills applying Project Controlling best practices.
• A bachelors degree in finance or accounting along with an MBA CA (Inter) CMA or an equivalent professional degree.
• Proficient use of Cost Accounting Systems to run monitor and bill projects demonstrating advanced skills in applying Project Controlling best practices. 
• Proficient using Office 365 including strong excel skills and good understanding of how to use Power BI or similar.
• Excellent communication in English (written and verbal) interpersonal and organisation skills. 
• Able to work with a minimum of supervision while understanding the necessity for communicating and coordinating work efforts with stakeholders.
• Track record of getting involved in (and perhaps driving) initiatives that drive improvement in your domain.
• Ability to successfully lead meetings in virtual settings where most stakeholders and team members are in different locations.
• The position may require periodic travel outside India hence candidate should have a valid passport.
• The role is dynamic considering the number of stakeholders involved in the day-to-day work so the successful candidate should have an outgoing and proactive personality.
