Job Summary
Overview
The Senior Accountant will support our installation and repair services business withing the Leons Furniture Group - LFL - of companies. The senior accountant will be responsible for accounting reporting budgeting and tracking of KPIs.
Responsibilities
- Month end close processes (preparation of journal entries elimination entries recurring entries and accruals and account reconciliations) for the installation and repair services business.
- Preparation of the monthly management report deliverables.
- Assist with the interim and year-end audit.
- Participate in special projects as required.
- Liaise with operational and other corporate departments.
- Identify financial process improvement opportunities.
Qualifications
- 3-5 years of accounting experience with focus on financial reporting and analysis.
- Designated accountant (CPA CA preferred).
- Strong knowledge of IFRS including technical accounting and reporting requirements.
- Ability to communicate effectively with various levels of management within the organization.
- Self-starter with strong organizational and time management skills.
- Experience in the skilled trades industry considered asset.
- Oracle (Fusion) experience and/or experience with LimeTAC is an asset.
