Job Summary
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement financial strategies that align with the overall business objectives and plans to achieve financial goals
- Provide meaningful transparent and value-added analysis and counsel management to influence and directly support decision-making and development of business strategies and tactics that maximize our profitability and long-term success
- Lead development of financial tools used in the planning processes Plan UPD LBE and LRP ensuring accurate and timely integration of forecast costing and variance analysis ensuring senior management input to meet overall division/corporate calendar deadlines
- Ensure standardized global process deliverables are documented aligned and concise for Executive level review and approval
- Influence business partners to develop standardized processes that are accurately incorporate site dynamics
- Develop and deliver analyses for ad hoc or other business presentations that lend insight into key business drivers enabling operating management to adapt more appropriate tactics/strategy
- Attract top talent train and develop staff to meet best in class industry/professional standards motivate and retain key talent drive operational improvements to realize lean/efficient operations and develop sustainable organizations to achieve long term high performance
- Anticipate and identify business issues (including performance gaps opportunities and emerging needs) for senior management and develop appropriate action plans to maximize business profitability and performance against key metrics
- Individual is expected to successfully perform all responsibilities with a high degree of self-motivation and autonomy
- Implement ongoing continuous improvement within span of control including establishment of processes to ensure compliance with existing financial initiatives and driving continuous improvement in close or plan related processes
Qualifications :
Qualifications
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Accounting. CPA required. Advanced degree a plus. Strong technical accounting and research skills are required as well as solid understanding of AbbVies accounting policies.
- Experience in a complex global organization. Pharmaceutical sector experience a plus but not required.
- 10 years of progressive Accounting or Finance with 5 years of management experience and specific accounting experience related to closing the books and executing accounting judgments.
- Demonstrated project management skills and experience which includes project leadership in organizing planning and executing projects from vision through implementation across multiple internal and external reporting and organizational lines.
- Strong analytical skills able to synergize data into information to make decisions able to make recommendations and proposals.
- Demonstrated ability working in a matrix organization building strong partnerships and accessing available resources.
- High personal integrity energy and objectivity.
- Process focused with experience in implementing process improvements or other change management initiatives.
- Ability for managing multiple priorities in a dynamic and challenging environment.
- Experience in coaching and career development.

The compensation range described below is the range of possible base pay compensation that the Company believes in good faith it will pay for this role at thetime of this posting based on the job grade for this position. Individual compensation paid within this range will depend on many factors including geographic locationand we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.

This job is eligible to participate in our short-term incentive programs.
