Compensation: This role is eligible for our annual merit-increase program and we are targeting a salary range of $63000 - $94000 based on your level of skills qualifications and experience. You will also be eligible for our Annual Incentive Program which offers a cash bonus targeting 5% of base pay. Potential plan funding may range from zero to two times that target..

Our Long Beach Distribution site is seeking a Production Planner! We are seeking a motivated customer service team member to assist in the management of our day to day logistic activity. This position reports to the Site Operations Manager works with sales and partners with third party vendors to provide reliable service to meet our customers need. Key Responsibilities:
Work as a member of the Long Beach team to continuously improve cost and efficiency.
Monitor the daily order status report and create shipments for outbound deliveries and shipment and customer pickups
Monitor the inbound deliver status reports and documents
Prepares plans for the day releases work to ensure smooth flow of work monitor inventory levels/movement daily with minimal delay.
Manage cycle count; ensure entire all bins are counted at least twice annually; maintain schedule and direct weekly cycle counts
Support analysis and identification of replenishment items
Receive barges and rail cars
Maintain close communication with sales/operations and logistics dept. for smooth operation.
Cancelled incorrect deliveries from shipments and re-arrange the deliveries/shipments.
Arrange deliveries in the most cost-effective route.
Create shipping paperwork and invoices Load Documents or Bill of Lading.
Monitor the Site activity monitor for any delays or problems in deliveries/shipments
Maintain the daily shipment schedules/keep close contact with Dispatch managers for load schedules
Resolve all inventory and production SAP transaction issues
Coordinate sales marketing replenishment and mill requirements into inventory management
Provide daily updates on the status of scheduled shipments outstanding loads awaiting scheduling and any issues impacting delivery timelines.
Learn to Use THD vendor Planex system to request loads for routing.
Learn to use Tender loads to CarrierPoint for carrier assignment and confirmation
