About the Role:
My client is a major plastics injection molding business ($7580M revenue) recognized for their flexibility technical breadth (thermoplastic thermoset two-shot overmolding and secondary operations) and direct connections to senior leadership. With a motivated and supportive team my client offers both the agility of a smaller organization and the impact of a market leaderbacked by private equity and primed for significant growth (and a potential sale in 23 years).
What Youll Do:
- Take ownership of and grow an existing customer portfolio primarily located in Detroit and Chicago
- Drive approximately $2M in new business landed annually focusing on key sectors: automotive (70%) lawn/garden industrial medical renewable energy data centers and drone manufacturing
- Build relationships with Tier 1 customers and engage directly with engineers on technical requirements and value solutions
- Enjoy a strong support system including a comprehensive handover from a departing account manager and access to in-house/rep-group resources
- Work independently and remotely with periodic fully expensed travel to clients and manufacturing facilities
Compensation & Benefits:
- Base salary range: $120000$125000 (DOE) plus realistic $30000$40000 annual commission (total earnings: $150000$160000)
- Commission structure: 25% paid at award 75% on productionenabling fast earning potential especially with takeover business

What Youll Bring:
- Minimum 5 years experience in plastics/injection molding sales or account management (automotive lawn/garden industrial renewable or medical markets strongly preferred)
- Proven ability to manage and grow major accounts while driving substantial new business
- Technical proficiency to converse with engineers review cost breakdowns and oversee the sales process independently
- Highly self-driven results-oriented and comfortable working in a remote set-up
