Project Engineer
Location: Multiple Project Sites (Extensive Travel Required)

Gregory Construction a Christian-principled award-winning heavy civil contractor is seeking a Project Engineer to support large-scale data center site development projects. This position plays a critical role in supporting project teams in the execution of complex heavy civil earthwork utilities grading and site infrastructure scopes. Project Engineers work closely with Project Managers and Superintendents to ensure projects are completed safely on schedule within budget and to Gregory Constructions high standards of quality and integrity.
This role requires travel across multiple regions including the Southeast Mid-Atlantic Southwest and other project locations as needed. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented organized and eager to grow within heavy civil construction while contributing to high-profile data center developments.
Key Responsibilities
Support Project Managers and Superintendents with daily field and project operations
Review drawings specifications RFIs and submittals to support accurate construction execution
Assist with quantity tracking purchase order requests material procurement and delivery coordination
Maintain project documentation including daily reports logs and records
Assist with schedule updates cost tracking and production reporting
Participate in project meetings and coordination efforts
Support enforcement of safety quality and compliance standards on all job sites
Assist with change management as-built documentation and closeout activities
Perform additional duties as assigned to support project success
Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering Construction Management or a related field
Entry-level to early-career candidates encouraged to apply
Basic understanding of heavy civil construction methods means and materials
Strong organizational analytical and communication skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced field-driven environment
Prior construction internship co-op or field experience preferred
Willingness and ability to travel extensively for project assignments
