About this Position

The Clinical Assistant Professor position will be in the Department of Internal Medicine. This position is actively involved in patient care and teaching medical students and residents at college ambulatory clinics as well as the hospital inpatient service and telehealth service. Appropriate effort in scholarly activity and service will be expected. Professional experience of sufficient depth to qualify for faculty appointment at the rank of Clinical Assistant Professor is required.

Required Qualifications

  • M.D./D.O. DO or MD degree
    (degree must be conferred on or before agreed upon start date)
  • Completion of an ACGME Internal Medicine residency is required.

Certifications Registrations and/or Licenses:

  • DO or MD degree eligibility for licensure in the state of Oklahoma Board Certification in Internal Medicine (board eligibility).

Skills Proficiencies and/or Knowledge:

Devoted interest in education. Knowledge of all areas related to the department workflow. The position requires strong analytical skills advanced multi-tasking skills and advanced problem-solving skills. Computer skills are needed to operate electronic medical records. Good communication and leadership skills are positive. Interpersonal skills are required to interact effectively with faculty students clients and providers.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in HIV medicine preferred. HIV certification through the AAHIVM preferred
