What You Will Do

This role performs facilities services for a portfolio of properties to ensure compliance with the standards and expectations of Seldin Company and property-specific goals. Working closely with and reporting to the Vice President of PM this role evaluates facilities and overall maintenance operations at the multiple sites in the assigned portfolio. This includes training and support of the service staff and having authority responsibility and accountability to plan implement and monitor overall maintenance operations profitability and quality service. Maintains the investments while providing reports and feedback on processes and areas of improvement. Utilizes management skills to train motivate and empower associates to reach their and property goals. Actively participates in industry organizations and associations to continue education within the field for knowledge growth and skill-building. Travel is required. This role has a dotted line reporting structure to the VP of Facilities for consistency with Seldin standards and technical support. As a Senior Portfolio Director this role may assist the VP of Facilities with process improvements SOP reviews and other tasks as requested by the VP of Facilities.

Skills and Requirements

Seven to ten years of related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
EPA Certification is required
CAMT certification or the ability to obtain certification within one year is required
Applicable Pool Certification and CPR Certification are desirable
Apartment maintenance experience
Knowledge of appliance repair carpentry highly skilled and specialized HVAC work plumbing and electrical knowledge
Knowledge of safety procedures safety-conscious steady and dependable and ability to work with the pressure of deadlines
Ability to communicate effectively assert yourself work well under pressure self-motivation and self-direction work with/without direct supervision and the ability to develop a team and be a team leader
