Job title: Sustainability Manager
Location: Independence MO or remote traveling work
Terms: Full Time
Salary/rate: Commensurate with market & experience.
Requirements: Weekday weekend travel work.
About us: We are the only sports and special events cleaning service that provides a professional and personal venue cleaning experience without friction.
About the role: Venue Smart is seeking a dedicated Sustainability Manager to spearhead our environmental initiatives. The role will be instrumental in developing implementing and leading sustainable strategies across our portfolio.
Responsibilities:
Incorporate eco-friendly business practices within the cleaning environment that are compliant with local and federal regulations.
Responsible for building relationships with key Venue Smart clients with a focus on expanding green initiatives throughout our portfolio.
Develop and implement policies and programs that promote composting recycling reuse of materials material recovery and the reduction of waste.
Travel to various sites across the country to manage sustainability efforts.
Audit Venue Smart sites and providing detailed recommendations for operational improvements.
Create and share event recaps related to environmental efforts including diversion rates trash recycling compost etc.
Design and coordinate training sessions to drive sustainability awareness amongst Venue Smart team members.
Demonstrate fiscal responsibility with company resources and purchases.
Bring in new revenue streams related to sustainability
Candidate requirements:
Bachelors Degree in Environmental Science Sustainability Property Management or related field.
Exceptional communication collaboration and project management skills.
Proven ability to lead and inspire teams toward achieving sustainability and environmental goals.
