GENERAL DESCRIPTION:The State of Wyoming is looking for a skilled Senior HVAC Technician to join our team and maintain the heating ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) systems in multiple government buildings. This critical role will allow you to work on a variety of HVAC systems troubleshoot issues and directly contribute to the efficiency and comfort of state facilities across Wyoming.

Perform repairs and preventative maintenance on HVAC equipment.
Install and replace HVAC units ducts and related components.
Troubleshoot HVAC systems and ensure they operate efficiently and effectively.
Document service and maintenance work.
Work in a collaborative environment where team members support each other in delivering high-quality results.
Qualifications
PREFERENCES:
Preference will be givento those applicants with HVAC Journeyman or equivalent technician license or an EPA license.
KNOWLEDGE:- Knowledge of refrigeration cycle refrigerants air conditioning and related air handling equipment.
- Knowledge of acceptable practices methods and tools used in installing maintaining and repairing HVAC-R Equipment.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:Education & ExperienceSubstitution:3-4 years of progressive work experience (typically in HVAC) with acquired knowledge at the level of an HVAC SpecialistCertificates Licenses Registrations:Agency may require an EPA License.OREducation:Bachelors DegreeExperience:0-1 year of progressive work experience (typically in HVAC) with acquired knowledge at the level of an HVAC SpecialistNecessary Special Requirements
PHYSICAL WORKING CONDITIONS:- Ability to lift 50 pounds.
- Must be able to work outside in all weather conditions
- Ability to work in tight confined spaces
- Ability to work comfortably at a variety of heights
- Ability to walk great distances throughout the facility
NOTES:- FLSA: Non-Exempt hourly
- Employment is subject to the successful applicant passing a background check
