ABOUT THE ROLE
This position is responsible for developing and applying a structured change management approach and methodology that will ensure the successful implementation and adoption of the processes and technology delivered through the ERP project. Focusing on the people side of change they will build awareness and support to drive faster adoption desired ways of working and proficiency with the changes that impact employees across the Region.
WHAT YOULL BE DOING
- In collaboration with the Manager Business Readiness apply change methodology to develop change management strategies and plans including but not limited to stakeholder assessments change impact analysis communications plan sponsorship roadmap and resistance management plan and to support the development of the coaching/training plan.
- Collaborate with various teams to build out comprehensive change management plan including components for organizational alignment team member engagement communications and training.
- Proactively identify risks and propose change management mitigation tactics to support end user adoption.
- Contribute to the continuous refinement of the adoption strategy and plan in line with identified adoption risks.
- Work directly with the program team and key collaborators to identify change metrics and assess change effectiveness.
- Provide input to the creation or modification of project artifacts such as project charter schedule risk/issue logs cost management plan.
- Develop and execute strategic communication plans to support end users.
- Lead communications efforts by driving the design development delivery and management of key communications.
- Develop materials for socializing organizational change with Senior Management Team and project Sponsors.
- Provides direction and advice to the Communications Advisor on crafting key messages that resonate with audiences and maintain change objectives.
- Work with the Communications Advisor to evaluate the effectiveness of communications strategies and recommend improvements.
- Oversee review cycles and approvals for communication deliverables.
- Contribute to project steering committees attend cross-functional organizational change management working groups and follow through on deliverables as required.
- Build and lead change network groups such as Change Champions and Super Users to support end users adoption of new ways of working in their business units.
- Be an active and visible coach to support leaders partners and stakeholders in their role as change champions.
WHAT WERE LOOKING FOR
- Successful completion of a University Degree in Business Human Resources Organizational Behaviour or related field or approved equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum 3 years in a change management role in a municipal or consulting environment including demonstrated minimum of one (1) year of direct supervisory experience.
- Professional designation(s) related to project/change management (PMP PROSCI or equivalent CSM) an asset.
- A solid understanding of how people go through a change and the change process.
- Experience with large-scale organizational change efforts.
- Ability to demonstrate the Regions core competencies for this level.
- Staff supervisory skills including knowledge of collective agreement administration and interpretation labour relations principles and practices and relevant employment legislation.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to connect with a range of internal and external partners while focusing on fostering collaborative work relationships.
