The Opportunity & Role Profile
This Outstanding school requires a dedicated Science Technician to support a busy Science faculty. You will work across all three sciences (Biology Chemistry and Physics) ensuring that practical equipment is prepared to the highest standard for GCSE and A-Level students.
Core Responsibilities & Duties Scope
Technical Preparation: Setting up apparatus for practical lessons and managing chemical stock in line with CLEAPSS guidelines.
Safety & Compliance: Maintaining laboratory safety standards including performing regular equipment checks and hazardous waste disposal.
Instructional Support: Assisting teaching staff with practical demonstrations and managing the laboratory technicians workspace.
Compensation & Benefits
Essential Requirements: Strong scientific background (Degree or equivalent) and prior experience in a school laboratory.
Salary: Competitive salary paid on the local government scale (25000 - 30000).
