Audit Executive

A boutique Maltese accounting and auditing firm combining local and international expertise to provide financial guidance and growth-focused advisory services is seeking a Audit Executive to join their expanding this role youll manage small audits guide junior auditors and liaise with clients to ensure accurate reporting. Youll provide actionable recommendations collaborate with managers and leverage audit tools to deliver results and support team growth.

This is an office-based role with a salary of up to XX depending on experience. Please note that due to the urgency of this role only candidates already based in Malta will be considered.

Role & Responsibilities

• Mentor Junior Auditors providing feedback and reviewing their work
• Manage small audits with minimal supervision
• Collaborate with the Audit Manager to plan audits for clients from various industries and sizes
• Liaise with clients on preparation and compilation of documents building strong relationships and supporting client satisfaction
• Prepare financial statements and other financial reports
• Attend meetings with clients audit managers and directors
• Proactively expand knowledge across different client industries to provide value-enhancing recommendations
• Use and maintain up-to-date audit technology tools and firm-standard software to achieve engagement objectives and strengthen service delivery

Education Skills & Experience

• Qualified or nearing completion of a Masters in Accountancy or relevant qualification or ACCA/ACA
• 2 years of audit experience with a reputable accounting or auditing firm
• Strong command of English both written and spoken
• Fluency in additional languages is a plus
• Positive attitude willingness to learn and ability to thrive in a multicultural environment
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure
• Demonstrate a strong understanding of the firms services and offer practical recommendations to improve service quality boost client satisfaction and reinforce professionalism
