Role: Technical Lead
Rates: Up to $200k per year
Location: Remote office location in Mississauga

Key Responsibilities
Lead and Mentor:Guide and support the development team fostering collaboration technical excellence and continuous improvement.
Architect and Develop:Design and develop new software features subsystems and capabilities with high-quality maintainable code.
Become a Product Expert:Gain deep knowledge of the system architecture from core C/C components to the C#/WPF desktop interface.
Provide Expert Support:Act as the final escalation point for complex technical issues applying your deep product knowledge to resolve customer challenges.
Champion Best Practices:Promote strong coding standards testing security and architectural patterns.
Collaborate Cross-Functionally:Work with product management QA and support teams to deliver innovative and high-impact solutions.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Strong proficiency in C and C in a Windows multi-threaded environment.
Commercial experience developing desktop applications using C# and WPF.
7 years of professional software development experience including in a senior or lead role.
Passion for hands-on programming and building robust high-quality software.
Ability to learn and work within a large mature complex codebase.
Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience).
Fluency in English.
Nice to have skills:
Industrial communication protocols (OPC Classic/UA Modbus TCP/IP).
IoT protocols particularly MQTT.
Relational database concepts.
Network security technologies (SSL/TLS MFA).
Understanding of scripting language implementation.
C development in Linux.
Additional Assets
Experience with ICS SCADA DCS or HMI systems.
Familiarity with time-series databases (e.g. InfluxDB).
Understanding of industrial cybersecurity best practices.
Exposure to cloud platforms (Azure AWS Google Cloud).
Docker or containerization experience.
Familiarity with web technologies (JavaScript Java HTML).
Experience with Swagger/OpenAPI.
Interest or experience in predictive analytics machine learning or AI.
