Nice-to-Have Skills:

Experience with data catalogs or metadata tools (e.g. Alation Gene)

Healthcare data experience including Epic
Familiarity with PHI/PII privacy and compliance requirements
Experience with reporting and analytics tools

Key Responsibilities and Duties:

Translate technical metadata data lineage and reporting logic into clear business-friendly documentation for the enterprise data catalog
Partner with Data Engineering Data Analytics and business teams to document data sources transformations metrics and quality rules
Ensure metadata consistency accuracy and completeness across core data domains (e.g. patient provider)
Support data governance initiatives by documenting standards policies ownership and certification processes
Identify documentation gaps and collaborate with stakeholders to remediate or retire incomplete or non-compliant data assets
Develop and maintain data policies related to restricted data retention PHI/PII and enterprise governance standards

Requirements:

Bachelors degree (required)
4 6 years of experience in data governance data management or related roles
1 2 years of experience working with data catalogs or metadata management tools
Strong documentation analytical and stakeholder communication skills
Proficiency in English (read write speak)
