We are a national aerospace and defense staffing agency seeking highly qualified candidates for a position with a top-tier client.

Job Type: Contract (12 months with potential for extension)
Shift: 1st Shift Mon Thurs 6:00 AM 4:30 PM EST

Summary:

Manufacture assemble and/or refurbish aircraft parts and structures such as F-16 frames F-35 canopies and C-130 subassemblies
Perform tasks including part alignment on jigs minor filing sawing burring crimping trimming framing drilling reaming riveting countersinking and cold working
Measure parts to verify dimensions and make modifications or repairs as needed
Work from blueprints drawings specifications and shop orders
Monitor and verify quality; develop corrective actions as needed
Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements:

High School Diploma required
3 years of sheet metal assembly or aircraft sheet metal structures experience
Proficient with hand tools including torque wrenches drills inspection tools riveting tools and other hand tools
Ability to read and interpret assembly drawings or instructions
Previous experience as an Assembler or Aircraft Structures Mechanic preferred
Experience with F-16 C-130 or F-35 aircraft structures is a plus
Strong interpersonal skills; able to work independently or in teams and communicate effectively with coworkers and supervisors
Strong mathematical ability to perform or understand calculations in assigned areas
Competent in using computers and systems to access maintain and manipulate data
Must be a U.S. Citizen (as defined by ITAR).
